In therapy I work collaboratively with clients, offering support and guidance in resolving their concerns. We work together to improve ways of coping, increase self-acceptance, and raise awareness of the impact of their thoughts and feelings. My intention is to empower clients to increase health in their relationships, overcome barriers, and reconnect with their goals for the future.
I have many years of experience working as a psychologist with a wide variety of clients in many different settings including: schools, college counseling centers, community mental health agencies and crisis services.
Therapy has many benefits. It can help people better understand the impact of their thoughts and feelings on their well-being, and help them develop skills to more effectively manage life’s challenges. In therapy my clients and I work collaboratively on developing goals and strategies that will best address their needs, understanding that each person has their own unique set of experiences, beliefs and values. First and foremost we work together to establish an open and engaging relationship, and the environment of safety and trust that is essential for exploring challenging issues, thoughts and feelings.
