It is important to me that when we meet together, you feel as though you are sharing space with another human being who has genuine care and understanding of your emotions and the things you may be facing. Therapy sessions are a place for you to slow down, tune in and to get in touch with your deepest strengths that are already present within you. I bring my professional training and experience, which helps create a dynamic environment during therapy sessions, and my hope is also that humanness and authenticity can foster the safest, most trusting space for you to explore the things that are important to you.
I have lived my life with deep curiosity about the human experience in relationship to others, the world and to the self. My own personal-growth journey is very important to me, which helps prepare me as a therapist to encourage deep, lasting change for you. People amaze me. I feel humbled and grateful that I get to do this work and to witness the strength and healing of my clients.
I have my Master's in Education in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon and I have been a practicing therapist since 2009. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon. Being an LMFT simply means that I look through the lens of the "system" (whether it be cultural/societal, familial, marital, etc.) of which people are in and I consider how these systems impact the difficulties someone may face. I see many individuals in my practice, as well as families and couples.
I specialize in women's issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship/marital therapy, adolescents and family therapy, and college students.
